We were tasked with building a better solution for managing pedigrees for racing pigeons as the software previously available was hard to use and involved retyping pedigrees most of the time which was long winded and time consuming.
We opted for an OCR solution that uses Google character recognition system to allow scanning of pedigrees and uploading them to import the text ready to be drag and dropped into the template saving huge amounts of time. We also included other functionality like race results and earning trackers and a pairing system that automatically generated the pedigree for offspring. We topped it all off with native apps that allowed users to manage their account on the go.
